Bear in the Snow Greeting Card
Bear in the Snow Greeting Card
Brown bears are known to hibernate during the winter, but they don't sleep the entire time. Perhaps this precious bear has awaken from his winter slumber to gaze up at Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, constellations named for their resemblance to bears. This image of a Bear in Snow is taken from a watercolour on paper painting by award-winning artist Daniel Mackie. The artist's work is heavily influenced by the Japanese print makers of the Ukiyo-e period, between 1670 and 1870. Daniel creates highly decorative designs that lift the spirit and warm the heart.
